Guest bedroom white nightstands with yellow velvet for headboard and upholstered bed

The first pieces of furniture are in the guest bedroom! The nightstands arrived yesterday, and I got to work putting them together. Here are the ones I chose… This is the Westerleigh 1-Drawer Nightstand from AllModern. It looks like they’re sold out of the white right now, but they still have it in gray and pink. It was really quite easy to put together, but I did have to uninstall and reinstall the drawer slides (which came pre-installed) on both of them because they drawer front wouldn’t line up properly in the opening. That was a bit annoying, but it wasn’t difficult. Anyway, I draped the golden yellow velvet headboard fabric over a cardboard box just to get an idea of what it’ll look like… This is the Majesty Velvet in gold from Fabric.com, and it’s really gorgeous and soft. I can’t wait to get the bed upholstered and the new headboard made! I mentioned yesterday that I will probably build a dresser for the room. I feel like the room needs the warmth of some stained wood, which I have in the other rooms with the hardwood floor. But since this room has a painted floor, I’ll have to […]
